Warranty

We want you to be confident in your purchase. If any product arrives damaged, faulty, or not as expected, we are happy to help. You can contact us at orders@themodshop.co.nz with your order number and details of the issue.

All automotive products purchased directly from The Mod Shop are eligible for support if they arrive defective or damaged. To help us assist you as efficiently as possible, please include:

• Your order number and date of purchase
• Photos showing the product and any issue you have encountered
• Details about how the product was used or installed

We are committed to helping our customers with genuine faults. Warranty coverage is limited to the item itself and does not include additional costs such as freight, labour, or fitting. For full details on returning items, please refer to our Returns & Exchanges page.

All wheels purchased directly from The Mod Shop come with a LIMITED LIFETIME warranty on construction and a 1-year warranty on the finish. Our wheels meet or exceed VIA / JWL / SAE standards and require the use of aftermarket taper-style wheel nuts.

• Warranty claims are valid only with proof of purchase from The Mod Shop or an authorised dealer
• Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
• Wheels purchased from authorised dealers must be returned to the dealer with proof of purchase
• Removal or installation costs are not covered
• User error, including curbing, accidents, or misuse, is not covered
• All warranty claims must be authorised by The Mod Shop prior to return

The wheel warranty covers the following defects:

• Structural cracks present at delivery
• Leaks when mounted correctly with a tyre
• Wheels that are out of round and unable to balance within standard limits
• Defective standard coating or powder coating

Warranty does not apply to:

• Wheels not purchased from The Mod Shop or an authorised dealer
• Damage caused by abuse, misuse, neglect, accidents, track use, off-road use, or road hazards
• Wheels that have been altered, repaired, or modified
• Wheels installed with spacers, adapters, incorrect tyre sizes, or excessive vehicle loads
• Corrosion or cosmetic damage caused by chemicals, harsh cleaners, climate conditions, or neglect
• Chrome pitting or discolouration due to lack of maintenance
• Blemishes or discolouration on the rear of the wheel
• Fading or cosmetic damage caused by exposure to harsh elements
• Any wheel that has been mounted
• Wheels signed for as received; shipping damage must be reported to the courier within 24 hours
• Paint damage caused by snow, salted roads, or similar conditions

Tyres purchased directly from The Mod Shop are supported if they arrive damaged or defective. Coverage is limited to manufacturing defects present at delivery and does not include normal wear, punctures, road hazards, or damage caused by use or improper installation.

• Claims must be submitted with your order number and clear photos
• Tyres must be purchased directly from The Mod Shop to be eligible
• Replacement or credit is limited to the tyre itself
• Proof of purchase and supporting images may be requested
